Beautifully appointed clean and very quiet room with a lovely garden. Anglea and Rob are very hospitable hosts!
I unfortunately did not have a pleasant experience with Alkira Accommodation. I booked and directly deposited the money to secure the room weeks in advance, receiving an invoice for my receipt and confirmation of my stay for the dates I requested. I was told I would receive my check-in time along with the code for the keys to enter, on the morning of my trip. Half way through my drive to Leongatha, I still had not received an email with the entrance code so I had to ring them to inquire why this was the case - only to find out the room had not been cleaned and would not be ready for my arrival, nor had I even been booked into their logbooks at all... so there was no way for me to check-in to accommodation that I already paid for. Angela was kind enough to try to work out the mistakes of her partner Kayleigh, who made the representation that I would have a place to stay at Alkira for the dates I booked. Alternatively, they booked a place for me in Inverloch, but this new place was nowhere near the standard I was anticipating to receive at Alkira, since several bedroom and bathroom amenities were not working, the carpeted stairway entrance was very dirty, no Wifi was provided, and beds felt like cardboard. While the problem was adequately resolved in that a new place was provided and excess fees paid for by the business, the overall experience was not what I wanted from my trip.
We stayed 3 nights over Australia Day weekend and we had a wonderful time. The studios are great. They're very comfortable, spotlessly clean and set in a very pretty garden. We loved that Leongatha was central for going to the beach at Inverloch or Sandy Point. Breakfast at Lulu's cafe, just a short walk up the street, was also delicious!
Wonderful charming clean quiet accommodation in lovely garden studio. Fabulous bed! And 2 mins walk to town. Really delightful in every way!!
